Minimal Skin...
I styled a couple of shoots a while back with up-and-coming photographer Johnny McMillan . The team on the day included the wonderful Danielle Murphy, who now, alongside her freelance work, also works with the Jemma Kidd Make-up Academy, and the lovely Jude Nabney from 1st Option worked her magic in front of the lense. My favourite shots from the day were these two. In shot one I used an amazing vintage jacket which I picked from Harlequin on Castle Street, the shoulders are seriously bold, very reminiscent of the Balmain statement jacket that was on the catwalk at the time. Shot 2, I paired a See By Chloe studded jumper with some quirky pants from Topshop, and a leather and chain bracelet which I had knocking around.

That 70's Vibe...
I'm not sure if you've noticed from any of my recent posts but I'm kinda loving the hints of 70's style that's around this season. The floppy 70's hat is a particular favourite of mine, I found this one on Asos! I've teamed it with this beautiful and more importantly cosy burgundy jumper by Rag and Bone, found at La Garconne, a Topshop maxi chiffon skirt, and these suede ankle boots by Kurt Geiger (My Wardrobe).

Magical...
A good friend of mine introduces me to new music from time to time. He always gets it spot on, and did so once more when he gifted me with music by a Danish singer/songwriter named Agnes Obel. I was feeling a little uncentred on Monday, her music brought me back around.
I can honestly say that I haven't enjoyed listening to an album from start to finish in a long, long time as much as I did 'Philharmonics'. If you're a fan of Stina Nordenstam, Sufian Stevens or/and Joanna Newson, you're gonna really like this. I love the album sleeve also, it's so simple and she's beautiful!

Telling Your Story...Chanel's SS11 Show
I was reminded yesterday while watching a video clip of the Chanel SS11 show in the Grand Palais in Paris, how powerful and important music is in telling your story. The show was like a piece of theatre, really beautiful. An 80 strong orchestra accompanied the wondefully unique and brilliant Bjork (Bachelorette). Also played was the Verve's Bittersweet Symphony - two of my favourite tracks of all time! Check it out for yourselves! Do you agree?

Roaring 20s..Far From Gone
One of my favourite eras for fashion, well possibly my favourite, is the 1920's. It brought us cloche hats, flapper dresses, sacque suits, silk ties, not forgetting the beautiful hair, the list goes on... For me, it was a decade of pure elegance. I was reminded last night by my lovely and very stylish friend Niamh, who was wearing a beautiful 1920's esque hat, of a wonderful series made by the BBC which was set in the 1920's, called The House of Elliot. It was originally aired in 1993, at which time I was a pubescent 14 year old -- needless to say I didn't catch it the first time round, luckily for me the BBC aired re-runs of it a couple of years ago. It can be said that after watching the first episode I was hooked. The sets, props, fashion and style are to die for, and for those of you who are Paris lovers, the series takes you there a number of times, with a complete look at Paris 1920's fashion. I bring you some stills from the show itself, hope you like them!

Alexa Chung Wardrobe Envy
I'm in love with Alexa's look at the Chloe SS11 show earlier in the week. Her Aurore Chloe bag is teamed perfectly with a midnight blue silk and lace Rosalind dress from Whistles AW10 occassion wear. Let's hope Whistles Ireland stock the dress!

Geek Chic
I had the pleasure of working with a bunch of high-spirited and talented folk on this Geek Chic shoot. The result was that what we set out to achieve became a reality in the finished product. Don't you just love when that happens!
